And Still More Heartbreakers....

Aug 4th, 1979

I went to Max's again to see the Heartbreakers and I think probably for the last time I will ever see them. I know that I have said that before but I mean it this time. I am just getting so sick of them and Johnny's bullshit. Everyone is so convinced that Johnny Thunders is going to die soon. It seemed like he could barely stand up this time. All of the Blessed were there again. I spoke with Billy most of the night. I refused to say Hi to Howie but he finally came over to us. And he was so f'ing obnxious. But it was so strange to see him wearing the rosary beads I gave him around his wrist. I wonder if anyone ever asked him where he got his rosary beads from, if he would say where he got them. And guess what, the Blessed are recording on Wednesday and they might put out a single on Bomp records. God I can not wait. I will play that record to death.

Hi JLP...
Hey, I LOVE yur blog here - really cool stuff. I spent most of the day this past Sunday reading the WHOLE THING...thanks for saving these memories for those of us who could not be there! Your blog was recomended to me by Howie and Billy who both had nice things to say about it as well. I've been working on this giant Max's Kansas City chronology and they thought I might enjoy your sight or be able to get a few dates from it for my project, which I have - so thank you!

Can't wait to read more!

So what are you going to do with the Max's project? I need to post more often,I have been doing some travel for work so that has cut into my time but I still have a few more months of postings.

Sorry...I forgot to give you the link: (It may take a few seconds to load - it's rather large!)

I'm just putting it on my blog - no other plans for it at this time, just making it as big as and inclusive as possible. Like you, I don't always have as much time as I'd like to devote to it but I AM working on it.

A question...do you still have all your guitar picks that you mentioned in your posts? Autographed stuff? More photos? If you do, you should scan them and put them up here as well...I'm sure people would love to see that stuff...I know I would. Can't wait to read the rest of your adventures...
